It went pretty well! I parked at Eight Mile Plains (near the start of the bikeway about 6:30am and followed the path and detour signs into Southbank and over the Good Will bridge. After exiting the Botanic Gardens I got a bit confused about the best route to Spring Hill but after figuring out a route I ended up at work at 7:20am (50 minutes and 19km later). I’m lucky enough to have good locker and shower facilities at work and we’re also allowed to park the bikes at work so it’s all good.
The afternoon run was a lot better, nice and warm. I rode straight down Wharf Street into Eagle and down into the botanic Gardens and home.
Riding the pushbike in the traffic was a bit intimidating. Lucky I’m tall and have lots of flashing lights on the bike.
